About Sidewalk Youth Organisation

Sidewalk Youth Organisation was established in 1989 by churches together in Scarborough. The charity focused on outreach through detached sessions in Scarborough, with emphasis on taking the youth work to the youth!

Over the years sidewalk has evolved developing Centre-based work mentoring and coaching services for young people. Recently we have moved into our new space where we can welcome our young people every from Monday to Friday At sidewalk young people take the lead in all aspects of the service and develop our provision and we are so proud of what we have all created together.

Meeting the young people where they are. Our amazing, detached teams visit several communities through Scarborough bringing refreshments, activities and a listening ear.

YOUNG PARENTS

YOUNG PARENTS

A social group for young parents and parents to be and their children. A place to share the challenges and successes and have a gossip while the children play.

TURNING TIDES

TURNING TIDES

A one to one coaching programme for 15-21 year olds with two social groups connecting youth to the programme.

MENTORING

Our trained mentors work in schools around Scarborough working with 8 young people a day listening and supporting .

A youth group designed for 11-13 year olds a place to have fun and make friends

WEDNESDAY GROUP

WEDNESDAY GROUP

A youth group for 12-18year olds to socialise, relax and create, open every Wednesday 5.30-7 during term time.
